Nike

Store Amsterdam

As Nike local architects we translated the Nike store concept to this refitted 850m2 store. We also took care of the supervision of the construction and shopfit-in till the opening.

The store almost doubled in size on the ground floor and now has a fully and well defined profile at street level. For this, we adjusted a part of the facade while preserving its particle monumental character. Large windows are made to provide plenty of natural light. Internally, the routing is optimized by removing the old staircase and escalator. A new central staircase has come in its place and connects basement, ground and 1st floor.

Old concrete columns and brick walls are made visible and make a great contrast with the clean shop fitting and lighting. The Nike identity is further strengthened by specially developed graphical elements by (inter)national artists.
